Prealgebra for Two-Year Colleges/Appendix (procedures)/Dividing fractions

To divide fractions, we change the division problem into a multiplication problem, and we replace the second factor with its reciprocal. Example:

$\frac{2}{21}÷\frac{22}{35}=\frac{2}{21}\times \frac{35}{22}$.
