Change in Variable

A Change in variable is a term used to express the difference between 2 variables . Let Δ represents Change in 2 variables x0 and x then

Δx=xx0
x=x0+Δx

If there is a function f(x) such that when x change by an amount Δx the change in function will be

Δf(x)=f(x)f(x0)
f(x)=f(x0)+Δf(x)

Example

There are 2 points (1,3) (5,7) then

Δx=xx0=51=4
Δf(x)=73=4
