Resistor in parallel

Two or more resistor can be connected in parallel to decrease the total resistance.

$\frac{1}{R_{eq}}=\frac{1}{R_1}+\frac{1}{R_2}+...+\frac{1}{R_n}$

Two equal value Resistor in parallel

When connecting two resistors of the same resistance the total resistance is halved

$\frac{1}{R_t}=\frac{1}{R}+\frac{1}{R}=\frac{R}{2}$
