Summary
| Description |
English: A first experiment with my new arbitrary precision code for making Mercator Mandelbrot images. This image corresponds to a 10^30 zoom around a point (I just used 30 digits of precision, so there are artefacts at the left edge). Looks best at full size.
The color here is the magnitude of the gradient of the escape time. It provides a surprisingly pleasing pattern, especially around the embedded Julia sets. |
